Ultraport, Ulog and Transmares, who will be sponsoring the Workshop in the context of the event, reaffirm their commitment to the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry. On March 29 and 30, Aquasur Tech 2023, the 1st Workshop and Seminar on technologies for the sustainability of the aquaculture industry, will be held in the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica, an event that will bring together in the Chilean Patagonia, transformational suppliers of aquaculture, to address the challenges proposed by the development of aquaculture in the country. Ultraport, Ulog and Transmares, key players in the Chilean logistics chain in terms of transportation, port operations, warehousing and distribution, reaffirm their commitment to the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry and hence their interest in being part of Aquasur Tech. “Our focus today is to innovate and contribute to the development of sustainable technologies for the industry, allowing us to continue providing a quality service, capable of adapting to changes in the sector,” says Sergio Abarza, manager of Ultraport Punta Arenas. Along the same lines, Ulog’s agent in Punta Arenas, Ariel Bravo, emphasizes that “due to its geography and climatic conditions, Chilean Patagonia is a favorable place for the success of aquaculture and, therefore, plays a key role in the transformation towards a sustainable industry. From our companies, we want to influence the different discussions and, based on our experience, provide solutions for the future challenges faced by the logistic and operational model of the sector”. Finally, Alejandro Canales, general manager of Transmares, points out that “it is the task of all the actors involved in the aquaculture sector to work together to find more and better solutions to develop an industry with first-class technologies and to face the future changes that the production and logistics chains may face”. The transformational suppliers workshop will take place on March 29th, in the context of Aquasur Tech and is exclusively sponsored by Ultraport, Ulog and Transmares. At the same time, technical committees formed by Blumar, Cermaq, Australis Mar, MultiX and AquaChile will participate, who will listen to the presentations of technologies and solutions of transformational suppliers and exchange experiences from their role in the aquaculture industry.
