Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015, Imenco Aqua provides technologies, equipment and smart solutions to the aquaculture industry, with the aim of ensuring the welfare, development, growth and optimal health of fish. The emergence of solutions and products from Imenco Aqua Chile is distinguished by a scientific-technological approach. These pioneering studies, together with internal improvements, have allowed Imenco Aqua Chile to optimize its developments and position itself as a leading supplier in the sector.
Currently, the holding company provides solutions to the global aquaculture industry, serving different markets that include the farming of fish species such as salmon, trout, tilapia, seriola, sturgeon, snapper, cobia, among others. Another example has been the successful introduction of its products and services in the shrimp industry in Ecuador, where it has positioned itself as a substantial partner for its clients in the cultivation of this species.

The products and services that will be presented at Aquasur 2024 incorporate the latest advances in technology, and materialize an important investment of resources in research and innovation to achieve better results in the performance of the crop through the use of these products, while maintaining the seal of sustainability and animal welfare.

Imenco Aqua Chile markets oxygen diffusers for sea cages and fish farming ponds, in different formats, such as grills and manifolds, and has extensive experience in oxygenation as a permanent system, through the patented diffuser. VitaDi™
VitaDi™
It is the patented brand that characterizes Imenco’s oxygenation systems, which consolidates the results of an important investment of resources with numerous tests and research over the years, converging in a device capable of forming the most efficient bubbles of its kind currently on the market.
VitaDi™ Oxygen Diffuser
Suitable for maintaining optimal oxygen conditions for fish. Diffusers are provided in different formats, depending on the conditions and requirements where it is to be installed.
VitaDi™ Oxygen Drum
Better known as Drum, it has various lengths and hose capacities, suitable for various cage sizes and biomass. It achieves high delivery rates in short periods of time, and proven transfer efficiency, results that have been evidenced in studies and innovation conducted in its laboratories. It is commonly used in immersion bath treatments, where high oxygenation capacity is required in the shortest period of time.
VitaDi Air Upwelling
In bubble curtain format or as upwelling rings. A new product called dual ring (patent pending) will also be presented, which allows the injection of air and/or oxygen in the same ring.
It has been corroborated in field studies that Imenco Upwelling systems have a vertical displacement capacity of up to 100 times the air flow rate injected into the system.
Sprinkler Air Upwelling (patented)
This new device is one of Imenco’s latest launches, which generates upwelling and steerable bubble curtain, giving the user the possibility to manage the microalgae barrier depending on the direction and strength of the current, making it more effective and efficient. Another of its qualities is its high flow capacity, easily reaching 1000 L/min and it has a smaller size than other devices, which allows an easy handling and positioning in the cages.
Feeders
Another product of Imenco Aqua Chile are feeders, offering a wide range, from simple to the most advanced equipment, among which are the Disc Feeder for production (DiscFeeder), Belt Feeder widely used in research centers and the new line, Exact for both purposes, which offers total control of feeding through software, in its individual or robot feeding format.
Belt Feeder: Belt feeder, allowing gentle handling of fish feed, useful for species in the first feeding cycle, also used in the laboratory for shrimp feeding.
Disc Feeder: disc feeder, for gentle feed handling. Classic equipment present in the market since 1988.
Exact Mini Feeder: Mini feeder for precise dosing of feed in ponds. Perfect for starter feedings or first feedings with small amounts of feed.
Exact Feeding Robot: Exact feeding robot, fully automatic and intelligent. The system is easily installed in terrestrial crops with higher delivery capacity than the mini version.
Monitoring Systems for Feeding & Animal Welfare.
Imenco Aqua has vast experience in the manufacture and development of aerial and underwater cameras. Currently its efforts are aimed at strengthening the focus on animal welfare, hand in hand with the aspirations of the industry in terms of sustainability and automation, while maintaining the seal of quality that characterizes them with high definition image quality and robust equipment.
Gemini Camera: Camera with double vision (surface and bottom), configurable as independent modules. High image quality and easy operation. This camera can be maneuvered with the Taurus Winch, configurable and versatile for different scenarios that the user intends to capture with its feeding strategy.
Welfare Camera – Biostimulation: Camera with double vision (towards the surface and towards the bottom), configurable as independent modules. It allows the calculation of biomass, lice count and an animal welfare indicator. These are the results of the integrated artificial intelligence, and are visualized in the Createview software, specially developed for the monitoring, management and control of these data. It will be available in two versions; for fattening centers at sea and for the freshwater stage.
Multi-Camera: In order to offer users greater versatility and simplicity, reducing the number of components inside the cage, Imenco has developed the Multi-Camera, resulting from the merger of the Gemini or Pixelite feeding chambers with the Fish Welfare, achieving 2 modules with different purposes in the same equipment.
Bio-Stimulator Frames
Imenco Aqua has been known for almost 30 years, among other products, for its renowned Biomass Estimation Frame, in the past also known as “Storvik Frame”. The new generation of frames developed by Imenco will be presented at the fair, which includes new improvements and features, such as: 3D measurements with individual tracking, being the only company that offers this type of device currently on the market.

In the same line, Imenco Aqua Chile has developed an area specialized in making critical measurements in the field, to support customers on issues such as: Measurement of oxygen purity, to validate the quality of oxygen produced in the oxygen generators; Measurement of air quality, generated in the compressors, including data such as dew point, humidity, temperature; equipment for detecting gas leaks (air, oxygen); equipment for measuring oxygen mass flow; ROV support for inspection and monitoring of the installed devices.
Innovation
Imenco Aqua Chile has been characterized by the development of solutions applicable to the culture of different species (salmon, trout, tilapia, seriola, sturgeon, snapper, cobia, shrimp, among others) and different systems (open flow and recirculation fish farms, seawater, etc.). Its focus goes beyond mere technological implementation; it works from a scientific and technological perspective with the constant objective of generating innovations that have a positive impact on the market and benefit its clients in different contexts.
In Chile, the areas where it has concentrated its efforts are oxygenation and aeration, manufacturing these solutions locally.
The investment made by Imenco Aqua Chile in science and innovation has been very significant, equipped with the highest technologies, in order to be able to perform measurements and collect scientifically accurate data. Part of this will be presented at the Aquasur fair with its test bench, which has allowed to advance and understand better and better the oxygenation systems, how they work and what is the science that supports their application (standardized studies of oxygen transfer efficiency and mass transfer coefficient). There, tests have been carried out with different devices and components, mostly related to oxygenation, of both Chilean and Norwegian origin. Thanks to this, Imenco Aqua Chile has been able to develop devices with the highest efficiency.

We invite all our customers and attendees to the Aquasur fair to visit our Stand H-28, where they can witness the launching of new innovations and latest technological developments, along with the demonstration in situ with our test laboratory where they can solve all the doubts they have regarding the performance of oxygenation systems.
In parallel Imenco Aqua will hold 2 exhibitions in the “COHO room” on Tuesday 19, at 16:15 hrs. and Thursday 21, at 11:30 hrs. The first one focused on Aeration and Oxygenation, while the second one will focus on technology related to fish feeding, animal welfare and new technological developments.
