NEWEN Smolt Project in Queilen, Chiloé (2024) In a strategic alliance with key players in the Chilean aquaculture industry, Aquamaof is embarking on the NEWEN smolt project in Queilen, Chiloé, scheduled for 2024. This project not only represents an investment in the future of aquaculture, but also demonstrates how Aquamaof’s water recirculation technology can catalyze positive change in the industry. By leveraging water recirculation technology, Aquamaof will ensure a controlled and optimal environment for smolt development, improving survival rates and significantly reducing dependence on natural resources. Atacama Yellowtail Project in Tongoy, Chile (2024) Aquamaof further expands its influence in Chilean aquaculture with the Atacama Yellowtail project in Tongoy, also scheduled for 2024. This project will focus on the production of Seriola lalandi apto-sashimi, using advanced rearing and water recirculation technologies. The Atacama Yellowtail project not only represents a significant step in the diversification of aquaculture in Chile, but also consolidates Aquamaof’s position as an undisputed leader in the implementation of innovative and sustainable aquaculture solutions. Ongoing Commitment to Sustainability These flagship projects underscore Aquamaof’s dedication to operational excellence and environmental sustainability. The company continues to lead the transformation of the aquaculture sector, adopting practices that balance efficient production with environmental conservation. At AquaMaof we see a great future for land-based culture of major species such as Salmon, Trout and Seriola, both in full-cycle and super smolt farms. Our RAS technology guarantees a reliable and safe system for sustainable and constant production with smooth and friendly operation. Together with our local partner INNOSEA we continue to invest all our efforts to better serve the needs of the Chilean industry, with great plans and best wishes for this new year 2024.
