With the aim of contributing to a more innovative and efficient industry, GASCO has developed various energy solutions for different processes in the aquaculture industry, in order to replace more polluting fuels such as diesel, improve operational efficiency and contribute to the sustainability of the sector. To date, the company has delivered and put into operation more than ten power generation platforms to different companies, systems that replace 100% of the use of diesel, which allows a more economical and efficient operation, less polluting and safer by avoiding the risk of fuel spills at sea. This solution has led the company to offer an energy sales service, taking over the operation of the pontoons and energy delivery, thus enabling clients to focus solely on their operation thanks to sustained and uninterrupted energy consumption. These liquefied gas-based generators have a cleaner combustion than diesel, generating lower local and global pollutant emissions to the environment, especially carbon dioxide. In addition, it is a very flexible fuel in its transportation and storage, allowing access to very remote places and storing it for long periods without deterioration in its quality. On the other hand, Inersa, a subsidiary of Empresas GASCO, developed an off-grid generation project (where there is no connection to an electrical system) to provide energy generation services and maintenance with gas engines that produce the necessary power for the Dumestre salmon processing plant, owned by Australis Seafoods, in Puerto Natales. GASCO also offers solutions for the generation of hot water supply in fish farms, thus allowing temperature stabilization in the facilities of salmon farming companies. This alternative allows controlling and reducing fuel consumption, thanks to state-of-the-art technology equipment, reducing pollution of particulate matter, CO2 and SOx, in addition to receiving support for its operation and permanent search for greater efficiencies and process improvements. At the same time, the company also has steam and hot water supply generation based on liquefied gas in the process plants, integrating the operation and maintenance of the boiler room, with optimal designs and boiler room, with optimal designs according to the specific needs of each client. This solution allows optimizing energy consumption, replacing more polluting fuels such as coal, wood, diesel, among others, and constantly monitoring the operation and supply of steam, with a guaranteed continuous supply.
